Kalpitiya Fort Sri Lanka.

Kalpitiya Fort was built by the Dutch in 1667-1676.Built by the Dutch under the patronage of king of Kandy, Ragasinha II , the fort was aimed at protecting the Kalpitiya port.The fort is square in shape.It's walls 4m high.It's entrance is looks like a church.The fort was constructed by coral and limestone.The entrance arch was made by using yellow bricks imported from Holland.In 1795 the fort was surrendered to the British. The fort was now under the Sri Lankan navy.The fort is now free for public.
