Devinuwara (Devinuwara means city of gods) Light house situated in 6km away from Matara of southern province Sri Lanka.It is the tallest light house in South  East Asia.It is maintained by the Sri Lanka port authority.It was built by the British 1887-1890.Iron and bricks required for this purpose were imported from England.It is 49m high and has seven floors.You have to climb 196 steps to get to the top of it.
