Muthiyangana temple called as Muthiyangana Rajamaha viharaya, situated in  Badulla district uva province.This temple popular for Loard Buddha's 3rd arrival.Loard Buddha came Sri Lanka third time and the demons were here controlled and Buddhism was preached.There is a ancient pagoda(dagaba=stupa) in this temple.Buddha's hair contain in this pagoda(dagaba=stupa) According to the historical chronicles Indaka the chief of deva people(god men) made of this pagoda((dagaba=stupa) King Devanampiyathissa(307-266 B.C.) developed the original pagoda(dagaba=stupa) and turned into temple complex.
